NDP: It’s time for a government that works for you, not just for lobbyists and insiders

QUEEN’S PARK – Marit Stiles, Ontario NDP leader, is calling on the province to urgently complete the mandatory review of the Lobbyists’ Registration Act as reports about unregistered lobbying activities leading to Ford’s Greenbelt sell-off surface.

"With Ford's never-ending scandals, there's always another shoe being dropped,” said Stiles. “Today, it's news that the same insider who took luxury spa trips with Ford’s own ministers and staff used an unregistered lobbyist to open Greenbelt lands for windfall profits.

“People need a government that delivers affordable homes, reliable health care, better classrooms for their kids, not this. A government that is under RCMP criminal investigation will always be too busy trying to fix their mess to focus on what the people need.”
